Digitisation Project

St John’s College recently started a digitisation project to open up access to our collections of manuscripts. Starting with our medieval manuscripts, the overarching aim is to provide digital editions (images and online catalogue records) of our manuscripts in an online setting to all.

Find out more in this blog post on our TEI project.

20/11/2020: 10 catalogue records, from the 10th to the 15th centuries, are now available online.

08/10/2020: Our first online catalogue entry is live! Ralph Hanna’s printed description of MS 34 (Peter Comestor’s Historia Scholastica) has been converted to TEI, and is now available on the Medieval Manuscripts in Oxford Libraries online database. Watch this space for further entries, as we work our way through Hanna’s Descriptive Catalogue of the Western Medieval Manuscripts of St John’s College Oxford.
