MS 249 is the business account book of John Cay (1700-1757) covering the period 1734-1756. He was the author of Abridgement of the Publick Statutes printed in 1739.

This is a set of six 19th century account books and a bank pass book belonging to Henry Handley Norris (1771-1850, Church of England clergyman). The account books cover the years 1815-1852 and the bank pass book covers the years 1826-1830.
